Visa debit card

The Societe Generale Private Banking Hambros Visa card works in conjunction with your current account to offer you a convenient and flexible method of paying for goods and services throughout the world.

The card provides you with the ability to access your money 24-hours a day, 365 days a year around the world. Provided that sufficient funds are available in your current account (or an overdraft facility is in place), it can be used to pay for goods and services up to your agreed limit.

The card can also be used for obtaining cash at ATMs worldwide. When travelling abroad cardholders have the added benefit of a phone service offering advice on a wide range of medical, legal and administrative matters.

You can use your card to pay retailers and suppliers displaying the VISA logo at more than 24 million outlets around the world. You can also use your card to order by telephone, post or online.

The SGPB Hambros Visa Debit Card is available in conjunction with sterling, US dollar, euro and Canadian dollar accounts. Cards are available on joint current accounts and can be issued to each account holder in their individual name.

There is currently no application fee or annual charge for provision of a SGPB Hambros Visa debit card. There are also no transaction charges applied by us for payments or cash withdrawals within the UK, the Channel Islands or Gibraltar. However, you will be charged per cash transaction outside these countries.

If your card is lost or stolen 

If you lose your card, have it stolen, or believe that the PIN or card number has become compromised, you must report the situation immediately by calling our dedicated 24-hour lost and stolen card number + 44 (0) 1534 815 500.
