Founded in London in 1839 Hambros has had a presence in the City ever since.  As a result of expansion in 1926 the bank moved to 41 Bishopsgate, London where it remained until 1988.  The final move was to the current head office at Tower Hill where we remain to this day.

Hambros Bank joined the Société Générale Group in 1998.

Phil Mcilwraith - Group Commercial Director

Phil has spent 19 years with SG Hambros in a variety of roles. He started his career in Jersey where he performed various roles for SGPB Hambros, including Head of Private Banking and Head of Investment Management. He has been in London for the last 5 years. Phil is now Group Commercial Director, responsible for teams of International private bankers, business development and marketing. Previous employers include Royal Bank of Canada and Lazard Brothers.

Tracey Reddings - Head of UK Private Banking

Tracey is responsible for the strategic development and ongoing sales management of the UK onshore private banking teams. She is in charge of the recruitment of new bankers to cover the UK onshore market and oversees the regional expansion of SGPB Hambros throughout the UK.

Tracey joined SGPB Hambros in 2008 from Charities Aid Foundation Group (CAF), where she had been Chief Executive and Board Director of CAF’s Charity Financial Services Division since 1998. Prior to her role at CAF, Tracey worked for Crown Agents Ltd and Barclays Bank PLC.
