Switzerland – a country commendable for its Private Banking activity

A small country in the heart of Europe, Switzerland shows a remarkable political and social stability. The result is low inflation and a strong currency, which allows Switzerland to become a place of refuge in times of international tension. The country's neutrality – not a member of the European Community – has long been the reason for establishing the headquarters of a great number of international organizations there (UN, ILO, ICRC, etc.).

In Switzerland, banking activities go back to the 17th century when Geneva's bankers became the financiers of the Dutch Indian Company, the Royal Bank of England, etc. Swiss private banks specialize in the administration of private wealth, today's Private Banking. During the second half of the twentieth century, this business expanded considerably.

Today, assets under management for private investors in Switzerland comes to approximately one thousand billion Euros, thus representing 35% of total worldwide international holdings. In Switzerland's banking business, the customer enjoys the qualified multilingual education of the employees and can rely on their discretion and professionalism with regard to the administration and fiscal optimization of entrusted funds. Above all, the customer can satisfy his need for security from risks such as bankruptcy, war or political instability.
